I’m currently leading Multimodal AI efforts for Dropbox Dash, following Dropbox’s acquisition of Mobius Labs’ IP and core team in August 2025.At Mobius Labs, where I served as CEO and Chief Scientist, we built efficient, open-source multimodal AI models—making GenAI cheaper, faster, and more accessible, with performance at a fraction of the typical cost.Before that, I led R&D at EyeEm, managing a team of top computer vision researchers solving large-scale visual recognition and ranking challenges. Earlier, I co-founded sight.io, a startup that developed computational aesthetics technology to rate images, which was later acquired by EyeEm.I hold a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay, have been a postdoc at EPFL’s IVRG and CVLAB, and was a visiting scholar at Monash University.
