The University of Iowa Sport and Recreation Management Board of Advisors consists of sport and recreation industry professionals who are passionate about supporting the UISRM program, its faculty, and students. The Board includes sports industry leaders from professional sports leagues, intercollegiate athletics, campus and community recreation, sports law, sports management, marketing, broadcasting, and other important industry segments. In an effort to prepare and educate the next generation of sports business professionals, Advisory Board members work closely with the University of Iowa to organize and shape the program’s innovative course curriculum and practicum activities, manage and enhance the UISRM formal mentoring and career development initiative, and promote various program development, advancement, and expansion endeavors.

ABOUT ANTHONY HILLIARD
Anthony has a very unique and diverse background in the areas of sports, law, and business, with a direct focus on the day-to-day leadership, operational elements, organizational strategy, administration, and management of companies.He had the great privilege of studying under the direction and mentorship of Robert C. Berry \"The Grandfather of Sports Law\" at Boston College Law School. Anthony has over 30 years of domestic and international experience in the sports industry as an agent, sports business executive, consultant, and professor. He has guided the careers and negotiated intricate employment and endorsement agreements on behalf of numerous professional athletes in the NBA, FIBA, NFL, CFL, MLB, FIFA, MLS, USL, WTA and the LPGA. His unique international practice has enabled him to represent world-class athletes who have participated in leagues located in Europe, North & South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. Anthony serves as a business strategist and public relations/marketing consultant for athletes, coaches, charitable foundations, and corporations. Anthony is a specialist in contract negotiations, operations & organizational strategy, executive leadership, public relations, reputation/crisis management, sponsorship development, brand architecture, and building global strategic partnerships. He is a Professor of Sports Law, Sport Business, Leadership & Ethics at Keiser University, a Professor of Global Sport Business & Sports Law in Florida Atlantic University’s MBA in Sport Management program, a member of the Board of Advisors at the University of Iowa Sport and Recreation Management Program, serves as a University of Miami School of Law - Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law LL.M program Practicum Supervisor, and lectures on various sports law and sports business topics at prominent universities, law schools, and MBA programs across the country. Over the years, he has developed venerable relationships with international and domestic sports business leaders, higher education professionals, legendary coaches, award winning journalists, media executives, franchise owners, league, federation, national team, and olympic committee officials worldwide.Anthony is an innovator, a transformational leader, and a champion of communication, transparency, teamwork, trust, consensus building, excellence, and collaboration.
