In her role as head of communications for the Public Health Institute, Ann Whidden oversees a team responsible for communications strategy, internal communications, public relations and brand management for PHI’s diverse portfolio of over 150 programs and projects. She has provided communications leadership and consultation to progressive corporate, governmental and non-profit organizations, including federal legislative staff, the American Public Health Association, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She holds a master’s degree in public health from San Francisco State University.
