ABOUT ANNE BEIFUSS
One of my great joys in life is making someone’s day brighter. I get to do that every day by sharing stories, simplifying complex ideas, and understanding people’s why. My career took a turn before it began. I was a Sociology student sitting in an elective intro to Communications course and realized that this was the career path I wanted to follow and promptly added it to my degree.(Why do one when you can do two!)Fast forward more than a decade and that career choice has taken me far beyond my hazy first year undergraduate aspirations. I have followed my passion for “making a difference” by using my skills in the charitable and non-profit sectors. I get to apply research and strategy, creative writing, and graphic design to further extremely worthwhile causes.The Sociologist in me is ever curious about the why and the who. Taking a people-first approach inspires everything I do and brings true meaning to my work.Curiosity and a love of learning have been integral to my journey. The non-profit sector is a wonderful teacher and I’ve had the opportunity to hone my skills in a variety of areas including marketing, graphic design, leadership, budgeting, strategic planning, public relations and more. In 2019, I received the Gift Planning Fundamentals certificate from the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.You have heard a bit of my story and now, I would love to hear yours!
