ABOUT ANNA KRYS

I love working with people and trying to solve problems and bringing new ideas to help people live their best lives. The war in Ukraine recently forced me to reconsider my living arrangements, and I decided to return to my second home of Dublin The Sunday Business Post referred to me as “a natural entrepreneur running multiple businesses” in the \"The 30 under 30 List\" in 2018. Sadly I’m no longer under 30, but I continue to operate across multiple projects- inspired by Diversity In Tech week which I ran in Dogpatch Labs in 2019, I took the idea home to Ukraine and pitched it to my new employers, CFC Big Ideas, who supported it. We ran two events (2020, 2021) with the big idea of bringing Diversity & Inclusion professionals into one space to discuss big wins and challenges. In 2021, we had attendees from 30 countries listening to 75 speakers which some organising and I managed the team that delivered this. The next event takes place on 20 May 2022. My role on this year’s event to Identify and develop partnerships and sponsors. Learn more about the event: https://inclusionforum.global/ Succeeded in winning funding from the EU to develop PROVODNIK, an interactive map for people with mobility limitations. There was a three-stage process, including a hackathon in Kyiv and Tbilisi, Georgia followed by a grant application to the European Union. Provodnik is a crowdsourced platform to help people with disabilities find the safest and easiest routes around the cities of Ukraine using crowdsourced data. We sourced data from 10 cities in Ukraine and had daily active users who were able to live more independently thanks to the project. Unfortunately, Provodnik is a little redundant at the moment, given the current situation, but I am very interested in scaling this project to other European countries. My previous experience in Ireland included Business Development roles in IT companies, but my true passion was developing the community in Dogpatch Labs and Killorglin. I love working on projects from inception to completion, and I work very well interfacing with technical people, business, and remote teams.
