As a Quality & Reliability Materials Engineering Co-op Student, I\'m responsible for fulfilling lab requests for internal and external clients, ensuring the integrity of complex electronic systems. My work focuses on providing in-depth analysis of printed circuit boards (PCBs), PCBAs, and components to support quality assurance and reliability.My core responsibilities include performing PCB validations and PCBA qualifications, First Article Inspections (FAIs), solderability tests, BGA inspections, and failure analysis tests. I\'m proficient in using a range of advanced diagnostic tools such as a scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and optical microscopes. I also have hands-on experience with key investigative techniques like cross-sectioning, etching, and dye and pry to uncover root causes of defects.My work adheres to stringent industry standards including ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001. I hold certifications in J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and IPC-6012, and am familiar with IPC-6013, J-STD-002, and J-STD-003. Beyond my technical duties, I lead monthly team meetings to foster collaboration and effectively communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
