My promotion to Communications Director recognised my leadership on the company’s corporate communications and strategy, internally and externally, as well as my work in representing and promoting Canongate both within the publishing industry and further afield. I also have an increasingly visible presence in the industry through my work both at Canongate and with the Publishers Publicity Circle, particularly in regard to author care and staff wellbeing. I have been involved in panels at the London Book Fair, EIBF and the Bookseller\'s Marketing & Publicity Conference, as well as leading group and one-to-one workshops for aspiring authors at the Moniack Mhor Writers\' Centre. As of March 2025, I joined the Publishers Association Communications Group.I continue to run active campaigns across our publishing list, and during this period my work has been recognised with PPC Awards for Miranda July\'s All Fours (Hardback Fiction, 2025); Len Pennie\'s Poyums (Debut, 2025); and Rick Rubin\'s The Creative Act (Lifestyle, 2024)- all three of which went on to be shortlisted for Publicity Campaign of the Year at the British Book Awards, including an unprecedented double shortlisting in 2025.
