ABOUT ANN CAIRNS
Following a 40-year executive career, I now enjoy chairing public and private companies. I have chaired TMF Group and CAB Payments for more than three years. Previously, I chaired ICE Clear Europe for Intercontinental Exchange and served on the board of AstraZeneca. My pro bono work includes chairing the cross-company mentoring organisation Moving Ahead. I have also chaired the Financial Alliance for Women and the 30% Club. I have a strong interest in education and serve on the board of London Business School, as well as the alumni board of the University of Sheffield. In the impact investing space, I sit on the board of Lightrock and invest in its climate fund. Good governance is becoming more challenging in a world facing increasing complexity. That makes board roles more important, more impactful and, for me, more interesting.
