ABOUT ANJULI PATEL
I am a Senior Associate and Solicitor-Advocate in Baker McKenzie’s Dispute Resolution practice, with several years\' experience working in the firm’s offices in London, Johannesburg and Hong Kong on a wide range of contentious and advisory issues across a number of industry groups. I represent clients in complex, high-value disputes in international arbitration and commercial litigation. I have experience of all forms of alternative dispute resolution and frequently advise on issues of contractual interpretation, risk mitigation and settlement strategy.I am recognised in The Legal 500 as a ‘Leading Associate’ for international arbitration and a ‘litigation star in the making’, in \'Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the United Kingdom\' rankings for international arbitration, and by the Association of Young Arbitrators (AYA) as one of Africa’s 50 Most Promising Young Arbitration Practitioners. With an MBA from Imperial College Business School, equipping me with a strong commercial focus and valuable strategic business insight, I am passionate about helping my clients navigate changes and challenges in their business and leveraging legal tools to support them in achieving their commercial objectives. I was one of Baker McKenzie\'s Innovation Fellows, leading a project on reaching a common understanding with our clients to articulate the value of our services in a way that does not rely solely on the billable hour. I have served as a selected member of the Mayor of London\'s Infrastructure Advisory Panel, supporting City Hall\'s work towards improving London\'s infrastructure and as a Guest Lecturer at Imperial College Business School, leading a workshop on compliance and managing risk when contracting with counterparties, to equip MBA students with a legal lens to business.
