ABOUT ANIKE AKRIDGE
Anike Akridge is a passionate leader and certified leadership coach with diverse experience spanning the public and private sectors. For over 18 years she has worked both in the US and internationally strengthening people and organizations that are striving to create a well-world. An adept organizer, she has specialized in building the capacity of internal teams and local organizations through coaching and facilitated organizational development interventions. She has provided oversight and coordination to national coalitions and worked with inter-ministerial committees to design, budget and evaluate programs for sustained impact. Anike worked in East Africa (Kenya and Tanzania) for 10+ years in a variety of leadership capacities with local and international organizations (on HIV prevention, adolescent reproductive health and child rights) and has also spent several years working with non-profit and research organizations in the US as well. Currently the Head of Learning for a USAID-funded Humanitarian Fellowship (GenNext), she supports 140+ fellows from across the globe to grow professionally as individuals and within facilitated learning communities. Anike is passionate about making the transformative experience of coaching accessible to broader groups of people both domestically and internationally. She believes in the power of many and developed a successful a peer leadership coaching circle with international global health practitioners that facilitates connection, introspection, and professional growth. She also serves as a faculty associate coach with the Academy of Leadership Coaching and NLP. Ms. Akridge has excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and has proven success in adapting across teams, organizations and cultures to achieve results. She speaks KiSwahili (fluent), Japanese (fluent), Spanish (basic) and English and has lived, worked or traveled in over 18 countries in Africa, Asia, Caribbean and North America.
