Maggwa Baker Ndugga, MD, MSc, is a distinguished expert with over 30 years of experience specializing in the design, implementation, and management of evidence-based programs in reproductive health. His expertise encompasses a wide range of areas within public health, with particular focus on maternal, sexual, and reproductive health research, program design, management, and implementation. Throughout his career, Maggwa has demonstrated exceptional leadership in establishing, managing, and providing technical guidance for numerous large-scale integrated programs at national, regional, and global levels. He has garnered recognition as a respected researcher and leader in maternal health, sexual health, and family planning. Maggwa has held senior management and technical leadership positions with renowned international organizations such as The Population Council, FHI360, IPPF, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has contributed significantly to various global task forces, including the World Health Organization’s ad hoc committees on sexually transmitted diseases, task sharing, and post-partum family planning, as well as USAID’s Technical Working Group on High Impact Family Planning Practices.
