ABOUT ANGELA DEAN

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:Angela is a highly energetic business development professional, creating and leading strategy for global social enterprises as well as smaller start-ups. She has a flair for operational development, change management and production. In her previous role, Angela set up and led a social enterprise delivering ethical trade services to small and large brands across the US and Europe. Having this passion and skill enables Angela to see the true benefit of the triple bottom line. 360 DEGREE PERSPECTIVE OF RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE: Angela’s holistic view of responsible business practice is based on 10 years of developing and delivering services to some of the largest global brands and retailers, as well as local suppliers across emerging economy countries. She understands how to work in multi-sector and multi-cultural environments developing working relationships from company board level, through to management and workers. Angela has sat on expert working groups for industry organizations dealing with responsible sourcing including; Ethical Trading Initiative, Sedex, and Global Social Compliance Program.TRAINING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT:With a deep knowledge and expertise of social compliance, capacity building and training, and trade development programs, Angela has supported the development and delivery of participatory training programs in various aspects of responsible business practice. She understands where knowledge gaps are and how to engage with the right people at the right time, and impart knowledge and skill to make positive change.
