ABOUT ANGELA LANDERS

Angela is a seasoned communications expert who develops and executes integrated strategies that advance Arnold Ventures’ mission, with a focus on public policy, media engagement, and issues management. She works to create media environments that are ripe for policy change, helping shape narratives that drive meaningful reform. Angela brings deep expertise in philanthropy and has collaborated extensively with policy leaders at both the federal and state levels.With more than two decades of experience in executive communications, media relations, and impact investing, Angela spent 14 years at GMMB, a nationally recognized communications firm in Washington, D.C, where she served as a senior leader on the philanthropy practice team. There, she advised trade associations, nonprofits, and foundations on public policy initiatives and supported several Fortune 500 CEOs in shaping their philanthropic investments across climate, energy, biomedical and mental health research, public health, and education.Earlier in her career, Angela served as a spokesperson for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation, and as Communications Director in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was a political appointee in the George W. Bush Administration, working alongside U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings at the U.S. Department of Education.
