WORK HISTORY
Principal Architect, Data, Analytics, & Ai - Global Architecture @lululemon
Vancouver, BC, CA
Principal Architect leading Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI Architecture within lululemon’s Global Architecture organization. I build the capabilities, standards, and operating model that make data work at enterprise scale—solutions designed to outlast tools, hype cycles, and vendor churn, while enabling trusted insights, governed reporting, and AI-powered outcomes. My role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution: I translate business priorities into execution-grade reference architectures, reusable patterns, and guardrails that teams can adopt quickly—so we scale speed with safety, not speed through silos. A core focus is creating a consistent enterprise experience for discovering, trusting, and accessing data products—so teams spend less time hunting for “the right dataset” and more time delivering value.I operate multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and partner across Digital, Retail, Product, Supply Chain, and Corporate functions—supporting complex regional constraints (including China) while maintaining enterprise consistency. I design for security-by-design (least privilege, auditability), governance (contracts, stewardship), observability/lineage, cost-to-serve, and interoperability across modern analytics ecosystems (lakehouse/warehouse, streaming, BI, and ML/AI platforms).Key focus areas include federated domain ownership through data products, open storage and interoperability strategy, semantic/metrics foundations, and AI-ready data enablement—turning vision into reality through paved roads: templates, automation, and standards that enable teams to move fast without reinventing the foundations

ABOUT ANGAD SONI
I’m a Global Data & Analytics leader focused on building the architectural foundation, operating model, and platform that make data + AI work at scale.Today at lululemon, I sit within the Global Architecture organization as the Principal Architect for Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI. My role is to translate strategy into execution—establishing durable patterns and guardrails that outlast tools, hype cycles, and vendor churn, while enabling trusted insights, governed reporting, and AI-powered solutions across teams and regions. I work across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and design for real-world complexity—including global scale and regional constraints (e.g, China)—without compromising security, governance, or speed.Prior to lululemon, I served as Chief Architect and led Long View Systems’ Data, AI, and Dynamics division—guiding a team of 115+ consultants delivering enterprise transformations across retail, banking, energy, manufacturing, non-profit, public sector, and finance. That experience built my “muscle” for driving outcomes end-to-end: architecture, delivery, adoption, and governance—not as separate workstreams, but as one system that must work together.I’ve built and launched pragmatic go-to-market approaches and delivery accelerators (data modernization, automation, business apps, and scalable AI implementations) and I’ve remained hands-on across lakehouses/warehouses, integration patterns, workflow automation, and modern application architectures. The consistent thread: make the hard things simple, make the right path easy to follow, and make value measurable. As a thought leader, I advocate for responsible innovation—bringing GenAI/LLMs into workflows in ways that are secure-by-design, human-centered, and operationally real. I care as much about adoption and behavior change as I do about architecture diagrams—because strategies only matter when teams can execute them.I’m equally committed to building people and capability. I’ve led mentorship and talent development programs from internships to apprenticeships, with strong conversion outcomes, because sustainable transformation requires strong teams—not heroics.I’m at my best when the problem is complex, the stakes are high, and the goal is clear: build something durable that teams trust, leaders can govern, and the business can scale.Build what lasts. Go beyond the tools.Make it usable and simple—the hardest part.Scale with intention and purpose.
