I train professionals in all sectors at all levels to give presentations and pitches.Presentations are opportunities, yet too many professionals are hindered (and opportunities lost) by nerves, poor delivery techniques, overwhelming slides, lack of audience research and many other vital strategies. Or by pride or fear for not asking for feedback from colleagues or even their audience. And this is almost always because they have not been taught how, and all these issues can be easily fixed. To know your subject and to be able to speak are not nearly enough, otherwise why we do we see more poor presentations than good ones? ABOUT ANDY COWLE
ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING (ELT) A specialist in ELT materials, global distribution, publishing networks and sales strategy, I license PreK–12, higher education and adult content of every kind (incl. CLIL, SDGs), age or level to ELT publishers and other organisations worldwide. I also work proactively with dozens of established international ELT distributors introducing and selling finished print and digital products for my clients, including related F2F or online training to support teachers. I am also co-author of many reading materials and several coursebooks for primary and secondary learners. PRESENTATIONS TRAINING I am fascinated by and passionate about good presenting and pitching and love to teach others to do the same, in any sector for any audience. A trained teacher, and with extensive global experience delivering (and observing) hundreds of plenaries and interactive workshops over my lifetime, I am an established presenter for hire in my industry and am proud of my reputation as an engaging and effective speaker, and have worked very hard to be the best I can be. For anyone in any industry, I run one- or two-day F2F bespoke courses on presenting or pitching, including some focused modules on confidence and mindset if needed (these are very popular), plus online classes on presentation skills coaching. To give a presentation can be for a conference but also for a high stakes meeting with just a few people, or an interview. I have worked with thousands of English language educators and sales professionals from every part of the ELT industry in over sixty countries. In 2007, after seventeen years working with some of the top companies in the field, I set up my independent consultancy in order to focus on delivering training and sourcing materials for publishers and distributors, as well as presentations coaching. I love to engage with audiences, to inform and motivate, and to be as clear and creative as I can be to address their needs and challenges. To present effectively with confidence, clarity and audience engagement is a skill.
