Gloucestershire College (GC) is the largest provider of training for businesses in Gloucestershire. The GC Business hub works with over 1,100 business every year. I am responsible for leading Financial Strategy, Employer Training, International Training and all Commercial activities at Gloucestershire College. In addition, I lead on all the support services including, IT, Estate management, Data and MIS. Last year the GC business hub grew training volumes by 31% compared to the previous year, There was a new suite of professional training courses launched covering Finance, HR, IT, Marketing and Leadership.Since joining the College, I have driven a number of high profile projects, including the restructuring of the employer facing business and the introduction of a new CRM system and sales process. I have led on restructures that have significantly reduced expenditure and identified and implemented efficiency savings.I was also responsible for improving financial reporting and budgeting and the introduction of a business partner model to improve financial visibility throughout the organisation. After graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Business and Finance, I qualified as an Accountant at EMI Music PLC. I then went on to enjoy successful careers as a Business Analyst at the Daily Mail Group and Finance Manager at EMAP, before becoming Head of Finance at City and Guilds.
