Set up and managed 3 Driving Standards Agency accredited Driver Training Centres with dedicated Approved Driving Instructors, strategically placed to support driver shortage facing industry on a national level. Devised and implemented an NVQ centre supporting 150 candidates across 4 NVQ qualification frameworks (Driving Goods Vehicles, Warehouse Distribution and Storage, Plant Operation and Information Technology) with 2 awarding bodies (OCR, City and Guilds). Winner of prestigious Brake Award for Excellence 2007 “Commitment to Road Safety” - this is the first time this award has been given to an individual as opposed to an organisation. Member of industry panel: influencing logistics standards EU Compulsory Training Directive 2009 (Driver CPC)- Skills for logistics.
