ABOUT ANDY JASPER

Andy has been a successful Project Manager for 26 years with expertise in planning, executing, controlling and closing projects.Andy has managed a multitude of projects in both Application development and IT Infrastructure, and recently building Cloud infrastructure and managing Cloud Application Migrations.He has been PMP certified since 2001 and has acted as mentor to junior Project Managers. He is SC security cleared due to working on several Government and Police contracts.He has managed projects which have ranged from £100k to £multimillion projects. These have been in multi commercial sectors and Government.Andy is an expert in using all MS Office tools and has been trained in ABCD Risk Methodology and ITIL.Andy treats all aspects of his job in a highly Professional manner. He takes initiatives and calculated risks and makes decisions in high pressure circumstances. He evaluates each situation with all the objective facts and logic. He has a high level of drive and energy and pays a special attention to project scheduling and costs using Earned Value.Andy prepares meticulously and puts in quality time prior to any planned activity whether it be the production of a report, in readiness for a presentation, or in readiness for the cutover of a migration or application implementation. Andy is very customer focused and always puts the customer first. He does not recognise a “them and us” mentality and resolves to work cooperatively as a team.Andy is an excellent communicator. He is a good listener, and will ask if he does not understand and will speak up if necessary. He encourages ideas and solutions within the Project team and appreciates/recognises the strengths and weaknesses of himself and the team and strives to nurture the strengths and focus on resolving the weaknesses. From the project start, he sets the right tone, developing mutual trust and bonding. He communicates frequently, and honestly to team, management and client.
