ABOUT ANDY JACKSON

I’m a BIM and Information management specialist with over 25 years delivery experience within the construction industry. Ever since I entered the industry, I have always thought there should be a better, more efficient way of how we collectively design, construct and operate built assets. I would often think of the future state as we were constrained by limited technology, yet as we no longer have these constraints I still have many questions, why is digital delivery not embraced as the normal within the industry? Why are we not creating benefits for all industry stakeholders? And why are clients not willing to adopt and benefit from the efficiencies? I think the solution is straightforward it’s about education and plain language conversations. My core driver is to help clients understand that deploying the correct digital technologies, tools, and processes will become a transformational agent. Allowing them to maximise their estate functionality, create capital refresh opportunities, reduce cost, and facilitate effective operational efficiency. I fundamentally believe that in utilising digital technologies that generate accurate information will add value to client organisations and reduce unnecessary risks. Accurate information that reflects estates, enables leaner decision-making abilities; reducing and removing risks whilst adding the assurance that decisions are based on situational awareness of client’s estate wide assets.I am passionate about helping all client organisations achieve improvements in how they generate, process, manage/maintain information. By generating robust foundations and embedding clear and consistent structured data aligned to industry standards, allows them to utilise data to achieve optimised approaches. Providing solutions, designed to harness the power of data, utilising Building Information Management (BIM) and Government Soft Landings (GSL) as a solution vehicle optimised to deliver a base set of capabilities and features that provide the foundation to optimise and innovate.
