I am the Program Director for the MSc in Data Science and Engineering, the original Data Science and Data Engineering MSc programs were the first in Scotland. I have spoken at a number of conferences including the Apache Cassandra Summit, Game Analytics, several Tech meetups. I organised the first Big Data conference in Scotland in 2010.My research includes two EU funded projects \"Grow Observatory\" and \"WeObserve\", both concentrating. on Citizen Science and in particular the infrastructure required to support thousands of contributors.
