Our client have saved of pounds in part production but using additive manufacture in their supply chain to replace more expensive methods of manufacture.The viability of using MJF and SLS printing as an alternative to injection moulding really becomes a reality with smaller items. There are no set-up fees or tooling costs, only a unit cost, so for small parts with volumes of up to units, it’s a no-brainer. With little to no restrictions in design, the more complex the part the higher the viability as equivalent tooling cost becomes astronomical.
