SKILLS
ABOUT ANDREW PARNHAM
Passionate software engineer who loves nothing more than a good planning session with awhiteboard, breaking apart a complex feature into its parts and working through how best toimplement it. I am highly motivated to better myself and perform better, going as far asbecoming frustrated when I do not feel that I am delivering enough value to my team. I love toget into new tech, whether that is reading some posts and discussion on the latest framework,or downloading the latest plugins and tools and seeing how I can incorporate them into myworkflow.Every Christmas I try to undertake a bit of self development, undertaking a new course orreading a new technical book. I have undertaken Udemy courses on technologies that I aminterested in using; such as TypeScript, NestJS as well as signing up to take a module onnetwork security with the Open University. My current ambitions include learning some more around network security with a longer termview to try to do a certification in this field. I am also very keen to try my hand at gamesprogramming in order to undertake a personal project to create my own game.Outside of work I enjoy reading (Sci-Fi and Fantasy are my jam!), binge watching a tv series orsome documentaries, playing some games (virtual or on a board), trying to keep healthy andtrying new things!
