ABOUT ANDREW HELTSLEY
My passion is helping brands get to the next level. Every brand needs a purpose, a reason for being. In my career, I’ve helped several brands find and proceed down the path to define their brand identity, refining the brand voice, strategy and overall purpose. I help companies sort through what they want to say about themselves and their products and then translate this into what customers need and want to hear. Great products need great marketing foundations to reach their true potential. Authenticity in marketing starts with an honest belief in the product or service you’re promoting. If you don’t have an appreciation and true understanding of the value it represents to a customer, your marketing strategy risks missing the mark and limited effectiveness. As a leader, I strive to be a positive team catalyst. My goal is to empower everyone on the team to be more effective in their individual roles by providing each team member what he or she needs to be successful; be it support, empowerment, advocacy, or mentorship. Success can be contagious.Beginning in college with print sales, then moving into the agency world after graduation allowed me to wear a variety of hats early in my career. I led accounts for a range of clients including restaurants, textiles, healthcare, and even the Nashville Zoo.I joined the corporate side of marketing with Tractor Supply Company (TSCO), a 452 store rural lifestyle store chain, in 2004. As a national retailer, TSCO provided a fantastic experience across a variety of categories. I developed brands and promotions for product lines ranging from power equipment to clothing to dog food to holiday gifts and décor. During my eleven years the company, I was able to lead hundreds of marketing initiatives and create or improve dozens of key programs, a truly remarkable experience that consistently put my flexibility to the test.In 2015, I joined Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) as the brand manager and entered the world of B2B marketing. As a relatively new marketing department, the challenge was to put ODFL on the national stage and build awareness. I played a key role in building the team, driving messaging, directing agency work, overseeing research, maximizing our relationships with 12 Major League Baseball teams, and in 2017, expanding our sports marketing efforts to include the league itself. I’m now looking for my next adventure. How can I help you drive your business forward?
