ABOUT ANDREW GUTIERREZ

Hello there! I’m Andrew Gutierrez, a recent media and communications coordinator for Honda Center and OCVIBE and a USC PR and Advertising master’s graduate. I\'m a SoCal native, loyal Lakers and Dallas Cowboys fan, and gratefully, I am the first to go to college in my family. The thing I love most about sports and entertainment is how families and friends are able create memories for a lifetime.In my most recent role, I supported media needs during concerts and shows at Honda Center and Grove of Anaheim. I also assisted with artist gifts, trade shot coordination, and other media day of show needs. In addition to working the venues, I also supported with communication for OCVIBE. A new 100-acre entertainment district being built around Honda Center. At the Rose Bowl, as a communications assistant, I support media relations, social media content creation, and email marketing. I currently serve as the interim press contact for media inquiries. I had a helping hand in launching the $80 million Lasting Legacy campaign for the stadium, which garnered multiple earned media articles from across the country. I was also a previous event assistant at Rose Bowl Stadium. In this role, I supported major events such as the 2024 Rose Bowl Game Semifinals, the Coldplay tour, and the Él Clasico Chivas vs América soccer game. I have executed over 16 enterprise events, including planning the July 4th LA Galaxy vs LAFC Soccerfest that welcomed over 7,500 guests and families to America\'s Stadium. Parents and children enjoyed live music, participated in activations from CocaCola and others, and cooled down with some ice cream from food truck vendors. Thanks to an incredible events team, who have always been super helpful and supportive, I continue to learn every day!In early May 2024, I received my master\'s degree in Public Relations and Advertising, and I am proud to say I have earned a USC Annenberg Graduate Fellowship Award during my time, too. At USC, I was also a teaching assistant for Professor Jeff Fellenzer, where I coordinated in-person classroom visits with guest speakers such as Casey Wasserman, Keyshawn Johnson, and other amazing guest speakers in the sports industry.I graduated from the University of La Verne in 2022 with Departmental Honors in Communications #LeosForLife. With determination and resilience, I earned first place for my public relations senior project, earned the Leadership Excellence Award, and was awarded Public Relations Student of the Year!It’s nice to meet you!
