Washington Gas Light Company is a regulated natural gas utility providing safe, reliable natural gas service to more than 1.3 million customers throughout Washington, D.C, and parts of Maryland and Virginia. A subsidiary of WGL, we have been providing energy to residential, commercial, and industrial customers for 175 years.I was recruited to lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy for the shared Digital (IT) services organization in support of Washington Gas, our sister utilities, and parent company AltaGas. This entails serving as the strategic partner and internal management consultant to our senior executive leadership. I optimize our capital programs by providing leadership in needs analysis, SOW/RFP/requisition management, contract negotiation, value delivery, vendor performance, and project management, and in the direction of matrixed organizations of buyers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Key achievements:Architecting a $30M supply chain roadmap that elevated strategic alignment, spend efficiency, and execution on cloud/data center migrations, critical digital risk mitigation, and other key CAPEX programs.Delivering millions of dollars in cost savings on high-value projects that improved the procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle and value through standardized RFPs, SOWs, acceptance criteria, and governance.Directing the supply chain strategy for an Azure Migration Services and Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) Platform.Generating OPEX efficiencies via vision and leadership in an enterprise telecom audit that aligned more than 20 technical teams and leaders to optimize spend. This was attained via the elimination of 50 years of legacy wireless and wireline services and circuits. Leading and collaborating on process improvement initiatives with enterprise impact.Coaching and mentoring peers on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and SLA compliance as a functional subject matter expert.
