ABOUT ANDREA CORDOVA
Hello! I’m a Sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin\'s McCombs School of Business, where I plan to major in Management with a minor in Finance. Originally from Laredo, Texas, I also hold an Associate of Arts from Laredo College. I own a small pastry business called Sophia\'s Sweets, which I’ve been running solely on my own since quarantine in 2021. Through this, I’ve gained hands-on experience in business operations, managing everything from order intake and customer service to supply management and day-to-day execution.These experiences have deepened my interest in how effective operations can support the economic growth and sustainability of communities like the one I grew up in. My long-term goal is to work in city and economic management, helping strengthen South Texas by supporting local businesses, optimizing city operations, and finding new ways to create opportunities for under-resourced areas. I’m eager to bring these passions to McCombs, working alongside a community of driven individuals and taking every chance to grow, learn, and make a lasting impact.
