I work with biobased and compostable alternatives to fossil-based plastic for the Nordic market.Ja-plast is a new initiative focused on replacing conventional, fossil-based plastic with certified, renewable and compostable materials that meet real market needs.We collaborate with international manufacturers of bioplastics, including PLA, PHA and fiber-reinforced materials, and are building a Nordic product portfolio aligned with EU regulation, upcoming plastic restrictions and practical use cases.Current focus areas include: • Grocery and retail bags • Compostable single-use alternatives • Food and packaging films • Agricultural films (mulch and hay bale wrap)Ja-plast is in an early build phase, but the ambition is clear:to make it easy for retailers, agriculture and industry to choose yes to better plastic.Also, I am chairman of the board in Global Data Resources AS
