ABOUT ANA LEMA
Ana Lema is a high school student, writer and philanthropist. She currently writes for numerous publications and focuses her editorial efforts on overseeing an independent newsletter. Ana serves as the primary editor and part-time writer of ‘From Ana Lema’, a multidisciplinary journal she founded in 2022. There, she periodically releases original photography and literary compositions. Committed to uplifting emerging creators, Ana frequently collaborates with young artists on written work and illustrations. Her newsletter has been recognized by affiliates of the Scholastic Press Associations of both Alabama and North Carolina. Ana is also the founding chairperson, director, and curriculum lead of Trinkets of Hope, a nonprofit organization she launched in 2023 to minimize eating disorder stigma through genuine, community-based support. In 2025, Trinkets of Hope was selected as one of only eight Philanthropy Tank finalist teams, receiving mentorship and funding from local entrepreneurs and activists. Ana has experience with journalistic and fiction writing, contributing award-winning short stories, poetry, and feature articles to various literary magazines. Beyond this, though, Ana is a part-time dual enrollment student at Palm Beach State College and has completed collegiate-level seminars about print and broadcast journalism, marketing and multiculturalism with the University of Alabama through a summer enrichment program.
