ABOUT AMY PEARSON

As a recent graduate from Texas Christian University, I am learning and growing everyday in my role as a Private Bank Analyst and am excited to find out where my career journey will take me.During my time at TCU, I majored in finance and marketing. I am driven and enjoy taking on challenges. I love to learn and stay busy and explored as much as I could throughout my college years. I was initially drawn to marketing because I love interacting with people and wanted to build my communication skills. I always intended to pursue a career in business because I value an overall understanding of how our world operates and the potential for many career paths, but finding a specific path within the business world was a journey with many turns.My sophomore year, I took Business Law and was excited by how engaging the material was. I looked forward to attending the lecture and studying for the course, which ultimately sent me down the pre-law track where I added a political science minor to my marketing major.My next step, however, turned me toward the financial services industry. I accepted an opportunity to intern at Fidelity Investments during the summer before my junior year without any previous knowledge of finance, but became fascinated by the industry. After more research following my internship, I finalized my major(s) to finance and marketing/sales to further develop both my soft and hard skills. This past summer, I interned at J.P. Morgan Private Bank where I was able to dive deeper into finance and investments, utilize my marketing and sales background in client meeting role-plays and presentations, and tie in my law interests with trust and estate planning. I am thrilled to have recently started with J.P. Morgan full-time.
