In my role as a Sourcing and Procurement Specialist at Logikor, I am responsible for driving the strategic direction and operational efficiency of our transportation functions. My key responsibilities include-Strategic Development: Develop objectives, targets, measures, and strategies that align with the overall business direction. This includes comprehensive budgeting and financial analysis to support our goals- Competitive Advantage: Craft a distinct competitive advantage for the transportation function by establishing a strong carrier value proposition, resulting in superior service levels at below-market rates- KPI Management: Oversee the development, maintenance, and actioning of carrier KPIs, and implement standards, action plans, and corrective actions based on these KPIs- Carrier Onboarding and Negotiations: Actively prospect and recruit new partner carriers, engaging in detailed pricing and service negotiations. This includes carrier onboarding, awards and terminations to meet business needs- Contract Management: Review supplier agreements to ensure compliance with Logikor’s minimum requirements, identifying and mitigating risk areas. Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to existing contracts, and perform carrier contract and amendment reviews, including signature approval routing per corporate authorization requirements- Compliance and Issue Resolution: Support third-party carrier compliance, manage customer freight claims, and handle service escalation issues. Facilitate and coordinate quarterly business reviews with top carrier partners across all transportation modes- Data Analytics Support: Provide support to corporate and operations teams with data analytics for both one-off and recurring business needs- Tool Proficiency: Gain and apply knowledge of TMS, Project-44, and other domain-specific tools to meet day-to-day business needs.
