I have 20+ years of experience in global business intelligence, diplomacy, and national security, having worked in government and the private sector to identify risks and opportunities in emerging and mature markets around the world. I am a thought leader, team player, analyst, and writer. I like solving complicated problems for clients operating or investing abroad. I have carried out dozens of competitive intelligence programs, political-economic risk assessments, corporate investigations, due diligence projects, and market research assignments. I work with organizations looking to leverage information, mitigate risks, and take advantage of opportunities in markets such as Mexico, Brazil, Egypt, India, China, and the EU.I am especially passionate about Latin America. I have deep experience in the region, including serving as a U.S. diplomat in Caracas, Venezuela during the tumultuous Chávez years of protests, nationwide strikes, and an embassy evacuation. I received three awards from the U.S. Department of State for my service. I have written on issues related to U.S-LatAm relations and national security for publications like CNN Opinion and World Policy Journal.
