Canada Metal Processing Group, a division of The Heico Companies LLC, is an industry leader in steel production with multiple manufacturing sites in Quebec and Ontario, generating combined sales exceeding $1B.As the Strategic Procurement Manager (reporting to the Director of Supply Chain) and am responsible for driving procurement strategy and initiatives across our business units. This includes establishing strong, long-lasting relationships with key vendors, shaping and implementing end-to-end procurement policies, and collaborating daily with decision-makers across business units to generate collective buy-in and ensure the success of strategic initiatives. By leveraging our business units’ combined volumes, I drive the negotiation of companywide agreements to optimize financial outcomes and minimize risks, across a wide range of categories, including industrial supplies, oils and lubricants, professional services, IT infrastructure (Capex & Opex), IT applications (including SaaS agreements), and various commodities (including bulk chemicals). Additionally, I was appointed as lead of the Purchasing Council—an initiative launched by our CEO to bring together approximately 20 key procurement and supply chain professionals across our three business units, Ivaco Rolling Mills, Sivaco Wire Group, and Ifastgroupe (located in Quebec and Ontario). In this role, I champion council efforts by fostering collaboration, advancing best practices, and driving company-wide initiatives that enhance operational performance and generate savings.Furthermore, I am responsible for the drafting, implementation, and enforcement of a Canada-wide procurement policy aimed at achieving procurement excellence and standardization across all units. This includes defining procurement governance, optimizing the RFx and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, and establishing OKRs to align team efforts with strategic objectives and drive continuous improvement.
