Global Sustainability & ESG Transformation Leader | 25+ Years Driving Impact at ScaleI work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and sustainability, helping complex organizations translate ESG ambition into measurable performance and long-term value.Over the last 25+ years, I have led Environment & Sustainability transformations across highly regulated and resource-intensive sectors—including refinery & petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, steel, infrastructure, agribusiness, food & beverages, and textiles—navigating the realities of scale, risk, and global supply chains.At the Welspun Group, I currently lead enterprise sustainability and ESG integration. This work culminated in Welspun Living being ranked #1 globally in the Textile, Apparel & Luxury Goods sector in the S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) 2025, achieving the highest score worldwide—a reflection of sustainability being embedded into governance, decision-making, and day-to-day operations.My approach is pragmatic and outcomes-driven:* Building ESG strategies that stand up to investor scrutiny and regulatory evolution* Driving climate action, circularity, and responsible sourcing at manufacturing scale* Integrating ESG into risk management, capital allocation, and performance metrics* Advancing credible Scope 1, 2, and 3 decarbonization pathways* Strengthening environmental and social performance across global value chainsMy worldview and leadership approach have been strongly shaped by my learning journey as an alumnus of IIT Bombay, IIM Bangalore, and the Swedish Institute. These institutions have shaped me and added multiple perspectives and “flavors” to how I think, decide, and act.Beyond corporate leadership, I remain deeply committed to mentoring and knowledge sharing, engaging with academic institutions to prepare future sustainability professionals for real-world challenges.
