ABOUT ALLYSON BARR
I build commercial engines that work — and fix the ones that don\'t.Over 20 years leading marketing and go-to-market strategy at B2B SaaS and technology companies, I\'ve developed a repeatable approach: come in, diagnose the commercial operation rigorously (funnel performance, team design, budget allocation, process maturity, measurement gaps), then build and execute a clear plan to fix what\'s broken and accelerate what\'s working. The result is consistently a leaner, higher-impact marketing function with specialist talent in the right seats — and a measurable lift in pipeline. At ActiveState I identified a fundamental GTM misalignment and drove a strategic pivot across both commercial motion and product roadmap. At pymetrics, I built a marketing function from near-zero and grew pipeline contribution by 366% in nine months. At Attivio, I owned 60%+ of annual new pipeline and managed analyst relations that placed the company as a Leader in both the Forrester Wave and Gartner Magic Quadrant. At AWS, I oversaw annual sales planning for a $100B business with sellers — and received one of only 120 AWSome Legend Awards for transforming how that planning operated. My connection to the EU is not a recent pivot — I lived and worked in Amsterdam and London across three years (2009–2012) as Director of EMEA Marketing at LogMeIn, and have since led teams for two Dutch-headquartered companies (StackState in Hilversum, Crowdynews in Groningen). I led marketing for Dublin-based Boxever (now part of Sitecore) and completed my EMBA from University College Dublin | Smurfit School. I am a dual US/EU citizen (Ireland) and am learning Dutch.I remain closely connected to the European tech ecosystem — having lived in Amsterdam, London, Dublin, worked with Dutch- and Irish-founded companies, and built teams across the EU. I enjoy connecting with leaders who are scaling international commercial operations and thinking seriously about what it takes to build resilient, high-performing businesses across borders.
