As part of the centralised Chief Controls Office, provide 1LOD risk partnering support to a portfolio of head office functions—Strategy & Investor Relations, Legal, Company Secretariat, Risk & Compliance, Financial Crime, Corporate Affairs and Human Resources.Responsibilities:• Work with senior stakeholders to formalise and improve controls, ensuring risks are clearly owned and well managed.• Lead end-to-end RCSA cycles, producing high-quality analysis packs that strengthen risk insights and support effective workshops with risk owners and key stakeholders.• Advise functions on control weaknesses emerging from central assurance activity, ensuring timely remediation and improved control maturity or constructively challenging the finding.• Develop Risk Appetite Statements (RAS) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to enable risks to be managed within appetite.Achievements:• Awarded top performance rating in 2025 in recognition of outstanding contribution to the Chief Control Office.• Praised by 2LOD for the high quality of RCSA packs and for facilitating insightful risk assessment workshops.• Completed comprehensive control reviews with head office functions which hadn’t previously had dedicated 1LOD support. These strengthened and simplified their control environments and better complied with DLG’s risk policies.• Leveraged previous experience and established relationships to positively influence control testing outcomes, ensuring the results provided meaningful assurance to risk and control owners.
