I took over as Managing Partner of Morecrofts LLP in April 2014. I was, and still am, excited by the challenge and immensely proud and flattered to be elected unanimously by my Partners to be the next custodian of such a historic and important institution; and to drive the firm forward through the ever-changing legal market. With the support of a strong and dynamic board I am confident that Morecrofts will remain an integral and innovative part of the Liverpool legal scene for many years to come.

ABOUT ALISON LOBB
As Managing Partner of Morecrofts LLP my role is to lead on business strategy, to drive the business into the future, & to lead the firm both internally and externally. For many years I specialised in complex, high value, personal injury claims, in particular acting for many clients who were abused in care, or suffered injury through the negligence of social services, as well as other issues including claims arising from adoptions; and discrimination. In 2015 & 2016, I was awarded \"Professional of the Year\" at the Liverpool Women in Business Awards, & in May 2015 I received the \"Solicitor of the Year\" award at the Liverpool Law Society Awards. I was honoured to be included in the Insider North West Women of Influence List 2015 & in 2016 I was named on the Northern Power Women top 50 Power List. In June 2018 I was awarded the \"Spirit of the City\" Award at the Merseyside Women of the Year Awards & in 2019 I was honoured to be awarded the national Woman solicitor of the year award, at the Law Society Excellence Awards.I became chair of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce in November 2022, having previously created and chaired the Business Policy Committee, and served on the board.I was President of Liverpool Law Society in 2015-16 having previously been Vice President, Joint Hon. Secretary, and have also edited the Society\'s monthly magazine \"Liverpool Law\". I was a Trustee of North Liverpool Citizens Advice Bureau for many years, including some years as Deputy Chair. I am now a Trustee of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, Vice Chair of the Liverpool branch of the IOD, & president of Mersey Bowmen Tennis Club, the oldest club in Liverpool.I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Legal Practice Management at Manchester Metropolitan University - just because there aren\'t enough hours in the day!Specialties: Management, Personal Injury, Public Law, Disability Discrimination, Contentious probate, Breach of confidence actions, Education Law, Abuse Claims, Criminal Injuries Compensation Claims.
