ABOUT ALISCYN HAMMOND
I am a Child, Youth, and Family Studies major with a specialization in Human Development and Family Science, passionate about supporting children, families, and individuals through advocacy, child development, and family support. I am interested in medical social work, foster care, and adoption and permanency services. At Bryan Health, I support patients and families as a Family Care Host and Wayfinder, helping them navigate the hospital and access the right resources. I also interned with DHHS, gaining experience in case management, family services, and resource coordination. I also bring hands-on experience working with children through the Spark! and volunteering at Everett Elementary. These roles strengthened my passion for child development and my skills in communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care. Long term, I hope to pursue opportunities in medical social work or child welfare where I can advocate for vulnerable populations and help people access resources they need to survive.
