ABOUT ALI MIKAEILI
I’m an educator, researcher, and lifelong learner with a deep interest in how digital transformation is reshaping the future of education. My career has taken me from classrooms to leadership and research roles, always centered on helping learners and institutions thrive in an evolving landscape.With a foundation in English language and literature and hands-on experience in instructional design, admissions, advising, and market research, I now focus much of my work on the application of Generative AI in education, the focus of my current Doctoral research at the University of Calgary. I’m especially interested in how AI can support inclusive learning environments, foster digital equity, and enhance human potential rather than replace it.Throughout my journey, whether designing courses or teaching language learners, I’ve seen the power of thoughtful technology integration. My goal is to continue bridging the gap between emerging tools and meaningful educational practice helping educators, learners, and institutions make the most of what digital transformation has to offer.
