ABOUT ALFREDO GARRO

Alfredo Garro received the Laurea Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Calabria (Italy) on May From September to September 2001, he has been a researcher at CSELT, the Telecom Italia Group R&D laboratories, where he worked on design and development of distributed systems. From October 2001, he collaborates with the Institute of High Performance Computing and Networking of the Italian National Research Council. On February 2005 he received the PhD Degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from the University of Calabria. From January 2005 to December 2011, he has been an Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at the Department of Informatics, Modeling, Electronics and Systems Engineering (DIMES, formerly DEIS) of the University of Calabria where, currently, he is an Associate Professor. In 2016 he was Visiting Professor at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston with the Software, Robotics and Simulation division (ER). His main research interests include: systems and software engineering, modeling and simulation of complex systems; reliability engineering. His list of publications contains more than 100 papers published in international journals, books and proceedings of international and national conferences.Prof. Garro is an Senior Member, involved in the Computer Society, Reliability Society, and Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society. He is a member of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), in 20••••17 he was Technical Director of the Chapter \"Italia\" of INCOSE and he was elected Vice-President/Next President in 2018. He is vice chair of the Space FOM Product Development Group of the Simulation Interoperability Standard Organization (SISO). He is member of the Executive Committee of the MODRIO (Model Driven Physical Systems Operation) ITEA2 Project and the Technical Leader for his Institution in the Open Source Modelica Consortium (OSMC).
