ABOUT ALEXANDRA KALINOWSKI

I’m attracted to problems. Problematic people. Problematic situations. Drama. I love it. Because problems demand change. They shed light on needs that must be fulfilled. If there were no need to communicate across distances, there’d be no demand for a telephone, internet or mail. If no need for a collaborative working culture existed, there’d be no reason to change a toxic environment. So I like problems. Not fabricated problems. But real problems. Because failure, mistakes, embarrassment and rejection are all stepping stones for solutions. For innovation. To forever change the status quo. Just because it was, doesn’t mean it needs to be. So that means a lot of things just don’t “work” for me. I don’t like a lot of what I see. Which can quickly give off an impression that I’m negative or never pleased. Because I’m usually not pleased. Not one bit. Why are we settling for what is? Why are you accepting less than? Why are you running around in circles and producing nothing of value? Why do you tolerate the way people speak to you? Why are you putting in the effort and never receiving the benefits of that hard work? Why are you underpaid? Why is your boss taking recognition away from you? Why do you come home deflated and depressed? Why are you hanging around people who bring you down? Why are you chasing after things that will come and quickly go? Why are you so miserable? It’s time we transform the culture around change makers. The disrupters. The people of the world who are unafraid to destroy what doesn’t work in order to build what does. That’s why I live. To provoke the better out of you.
