WORK HISTORY

Feb 2022 — Present

Assistant Director, Workforce Capability @Department for Education, South Australia

Adelaide, AU

Leading both the OD and L&D functions, I have implemented a range of employee life cycle activities, including the development of capability across the thousands of support roles in the department. I have overseen and measured a range of employee engagement activities, from onboarding, recognition activities, developmental programs, policy alignment, culture/wellbeing surveys, leadership development, inclusion and offboarding. High impact projects have included:• Embedded a simplified cultural model across the department by co-designing suitable assets for site leaders to understand their results, and how best to respond. A new service, tailored support, provided bespoke L & OD interventions for 45 sites, and a range of capability interventions were created at a system level.• Built powerful relationships with a range of teams (i.e. Orbis, PSP, System Performance, Support and Inclusion,) to deepen understanding between OD data insights and pivotal site-specific focus areas, such as learner behaviour, wellbeing, and employee engagement. • Established an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion function to address the increasing cross government strategic activity. Work to date has included the inaugural IncludED event for LGBTIQA+ community members and allies, and a review of potential employment barriers for employees living with a disability. • Coach and support senior leaders in how to apply a human centred change management approach to MOG activities, whole of site culture and the Purpose for Education. • Led the corporate learning and development opportunities which support system capability gaps, as identified by the sites-based survey, Perspective. This has included the refresh of online learning opportunities and functionality, induction, and the introduction of a People Leaders induction
