ABOUT ALESSIA ISGRÓ

I am 25 years old and I graduated in Law (with a specific focus on European and Transnational Comparative Law) with a final grade of 110/110 cum laude at the University of Trento. I have also completed an LL. M.(Masters in Law) at the University of Glasgow (Double Degree Program) with Distinction.Over the past few years, I\'ve taken a particular interest in climate finance and ESG disputes. I worked on a deforestation project and I have been learning a lot about the role of strategic research and of systemic thinking. At the same time, I have conducted research on behalf of ClientEarth for a collaborative dissertation project on the following topic:\"Financial law and regulation to tackle the plastic crisis\", with a particular focus on the role played by Credit Rating Agencies.I have been, as part of a “Thesis Research Abroad programme”, a visiting researcher at Aston University (Birmingham, UK) from October 2023 to January 2024, trying to shed light on the European Commission’s Latest ESG Rating Regulation proposal. I am currently working as a trainee lawyer at Ashurst, in the Dispute Resolution department.
