ABOUT ALESSANDRA MERLO
I\'m a materials engineer and enthusiast. I\'m currently a PhD students at McMaster university, co-supervised by professor Sask and Grandfield, which accords me the possibility of combining creative and critical thinking to develop and research on alternative solutions to known or to-come problems. My interests I am most passionate about the development, engineering and testing of materials. While my background focused more on the material properties perspective, my research experience and individual studies allowed me to broaden my knowledge in other disciplines and grasp a broder comprehension of the properties required for specific uses. My key strenghts I am a naturally curious person, not just in my field of study, and thus I love to always learn and experience something new: I love challenges! I am autonomous and proactive, but I like to collaborate, share and discuss my ideas with others. My fit I love multicultural environments and interacting with people, so to create collaborative and mutually stimulating relationships.
