ABOUT ALAN MCINTYRE
I retired from Accenture in 2022 to pursue a PhD in American History but returned in a part-time Vice Chair role in early 2024 to focus on senior client coverage. Prior role was Senior Industry Director for Banking at Accenture focused on senior client coverage and thought leadership. From January 2016 to May 2021 I was Accenture\'s Global Banking Industry Lead.Before joining Accenture I was the North American Managing Partner for Oliver Wyman and worked with retail and commercial banking clients with a focus on enterprise strategy and performance improvement programs. I led major merger and acquisition assignments at the board level, served as a personal adviser to multiple bank CEOs in North America and Europe, steered many bank-wide transformation programs, and advised on multiple new business launches.Outside of work, I have a passion for classical music, and I have served as chair of Orchestra Lumos in Connecticut. I am also the International Advisory Board Chair for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I’m also involved in several educational and cultural organizations in my native Scotland, including being Patron of the Young Programme, an educational charity for young professionals. In April 2018, I was inducted into the Global Scot Hall of Fame to recognize my contribution as a Scottish Business Ambassador.
