Provide controls and automated system support for all ongoing and new operations in all business units.• Conduct process problem-solving including trouble shooting, repair and root cause analysis support.• Provide training to less experienced plant-based technicians who are responsible for maintaining the work cells.• Lead project integration activities (set architecture, perform and coordinate the programming, configuration and testing, PLC systems).• Prepare Programming for AB/OMRON PLC Programming.• Robot programming for ABB, MOTOMAN, Fanuc ETC.• Complete projects by taking ownership of deliverables and using technical and project management skills.• Provide training on the developed control systems and procedures for operations and maintenance.• Ensure equipment complies with all relevant standards and regulations• lead by example by complying with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies.• Develop robotic paint process applications for all new products in the assigned locations.• Minimize paint line downtime by systematically and proactively monitoring part performance and spare part status; prioritize schedule of immediate replacement with emphasis on quality and uptime.• Monitor and manage all safety operations within the paint lines, storage rooms, mixing rooms and paint kitchens in the assigned locations. Perform weekly safety audits to ensure compliance of company safety policies and procedures.• Collaborate with and/or direct plant personnel, contractors, and equipment suppliers in repair/improvement work• Maintain a current knowledge level of emerging concepts, techniques and technologies related to our paint processes to provide future guidance and vision for improving methods and machines. Initiate continuous improvement activities for cycle time reduction, paint usage reduction, alternative materials and scrap reduction for products assigned.• Any other duties as assigned.
