Senior Finance Manager at the newly established flagship PPG Hospital Birmingham and a member of the senior leadership team (SLT). My duties include overseeing month-end financial reporting for the business unit, payroll, budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision making for the hospital, along with working on the implementation of controls and processes. I have also worked on contract negotiations with several regional NHS ICBs and evaluated the financial viability and opportunities related to engaging with third party service providers.I’ve gained exposure to the hospital’s requisition pipeline as well as looking at capital expenditure, accrued & deferred income, accruals, revenue & operating expenses. I have also performed financial analysis work surrounding the profitability and viability of medical procedures, which has then helped shape decisions surrounding which procedures will be carried out moving forwards. As part of my duties I have regularly presented financial results to the Group Financial Controller, Finance Director and members of the board.
