ABOUT AIMEE KIRKHAM

Aimee developed a passion for the arts at an early age, leading her to complete a degree in Animation in 2005, with a primary focus on photographic animation. She further advanced her expertise by obtaining a Master\'s degree in Photography in 2022. Since 2006, Aimee has been actively involved in the professional photography industry, founding Oxford-Photography in 2008. Her freelance work encompasses wedding, corporate events, and lifestyle family portraits.Prior to her current pursuits, Aimee gained experience working for an events company, where she specialised in multimedia and logistical support for pharmaceutical agencies. She is highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere, with working knowledge of Illustrator, and InDesign.After completing a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education, Aimee found enjoyment in teaching Art and Photography at City of Oxford College, instructing both A-Level and Access to Higher Education Art and Design students. She has taken on developmental roles aimed at enhancing teaching, learning, and assessment strategies within the organisation. Additionally, she supports her department as a Lead IV and peer mentor.Aimee has also taught photography for Oxford Skills and Learning (now part of Abingdon and Witney College) and worked as a Vocational Coach in Photography, Graphic Design, Art & Design, and Media Studies for Banbury & Bicester College.
