ABOUT AIMEE DOBSON

Female founding team at Brand Conscience Ltd, a multi award-winning, female-founded sustainability start-up, supporting organisations and consumers to make informed, responsible decisions across consumer goods supply chains. Our work focuses on transparency, ethical sourcing, materials traceability and measurable environmental and social impact.As part of the senior leadership team, I help shape and deliver education and research strategy, manage cross-sector research projects, and translate complex sustainability challenges into practical, accessible learning and business resources. This includes the development of online education programmes, and contributing to funded innovation projects focused on ethical supply chains and sustainability communications.I also lead communications and digital engagement, overseeing social media strategy, stakeholder communications and the presentation of research insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Combining strategic oversight, team leadership and hands-on delivery within a fast-growing start-up environment.Alongside my business leadership role, I have extensive experience in higher education, having worked as an Experienced Technician and Demonstrator at the University of Portsmouth. I have supported undergraduate and postgraduate students with dissertation projects, research design, data collection, assessment and departmental research and innovation initiatives.I am a winner of the University of Portsmouth Enterprise Programme and an alumni of the Help to Grow Management Programme, strengthening my expertise in leadership, business growth, operations and strategic decision-making. I hold a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTTLS) and am recognised for my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, build effective teams and manage multiple projects with precision and professionalism.I have over 20 years’ experience as a Health and Fitness Specialist, working across education and community settings, further strengthening my skills in coaching, public speaking, programme delivery, event management and people-centred leadership.I am driven by work that creates meaningful impact, supports ethical innovation and empowers individuals and organisations through education, research, discipline, organisation and clear communication.
