KEY RESULTS:• Developed the Digital Museum strategy, focusing on extending the impact of the museum\'s collections and research beyond the walls of the museum. • Established a Digital Outreach programme getting Te Papa’s collections and research to external platforms to further reach, access, and research, achieving 500 million contacts with the collection in 2025.• Implemented a cross-team Product Management procedure and roadmaps to more sustainably manage digital product maintenance and development.• Developed the Hatuka Matua (Holistic Programme) Performance Framework (HMPF) which sets targets for priority audiences, priority subjects, across multiple channels, now embedded in Te Papa’s Programming process.• Implemented website use carbon tracking, allowing the museum to identify areas for energy use reduction.• Implemented audience analytics and research program, to better understand Te Papa’s audience, reach and impact.• Developing tools and measures to better reflect the impact of AI on website and content useACHIEVEMENTS:• Built a team and budget from scratch to deliver the Digital Museum, Digital Outreach Programme, and Product Manage the suite of websites.• Migrated multiple websites to be managed in-house, saving around per year and improving development responsiveness.• Managed the “digital pivot” during the COVID-19 lockdowns, reaching (and sustaining) new audiences, and used by ICOM as an example of providing access to culture to support wellbeing.• Co-developed Te Papa’s AI Policy and guidelines https://tepapa.nz/AIpolicy, and led the development of audience analysis and collection discovery AI tools. • Grew digital audiences from 2.8 million to 4.1 million.
