I oversee the Sustaining Momentum to Implement the Diabetes Framework (SMIDF) project, a collaboration between Diabetes Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada• The project mandate, which I enjoy, is to build momentum across Canada for the Diabetes Framework. I engage with various health authorities, provinces, NGOs, political consultants, and the private sectors through meetings, events, and reports. An example of the momentum being built includes the interest from our Atlantic Health Equity Summit in October of 2024, which helped launched an Atlantic Canada diabetes working group in February 2025• I co-write or oversee various reports and summaries about the provincial, regional or national events I facilitate (or co-facilitate)– adoring very much connecting people and groups together to determine agents of change or improvement. To see the reports, please visit • This project includes working with a range of stakeholders, such as a national advisory committee, healthcare administrators, and researchers as we seek, determine, highlight, and disseminate the top 20 diabetes interventions in Canada (which will be publicized this autumn)• This role requires the management of 2 overlapping but non-synchronized budgets and policies from 2 different organizations• For my team, I hired, trained, and oversee a modest and mighty team comprised of amazing full-time contract staff and volunteers
